Monday and so much to Talk about!

Here in our little world it’s the first day of school! Yippee and Boohooo. It’s great for the kids to see all their friends and get back into a routine and it’s sad because they are growing up soooo fast! It’s part of it, I know, but sad.

And it’s also back on track for eating clean. Last week I declared it was take a break week and that is what I did. I ate clean most of the time during the week but the dinners and the weekend weren’t the best. But I figure I can give myself that little bit. So I’m back at it and with that said so are the kids. They all asked to pack Paleo lunches instead of buying the cafeteria lunch. I’m really proud of them to make such decisions. I should of course taken pics but I forget to do these things. They took hearty salads and yummy fruit bowls. Maybe tomorrow I’ll snap some pics!

Boom Box
I woke up this morning feeling pretty good. But I knew FRAN was waiting for me at the box and I wasn’t ready for her. I had a week of eating like crap. I haven’t done Fran since January and I’m a big ol baby so ya, I wasn’t ready! I did a few warm up thrusters and that felt fine. Adding the weight was a little much for my right shoulder though. It’s just tender and achy and I decided I would go ahead with the 65lbs. Before I go further let me tell you about FRAN. It’s 21-15-9 of Thrusters and Pull Ups as fast as you can do it. So you do 21 thrusters, 21 pullups, 15 thrusters, 15 pullups, 9 thrusters and 9 pullups. Coach told us we should do 15 unbroken in the first round of thrusters. I managed to do this! Woohooo. I wasn’t sure if I would make it to 15 but I did and then the 6 after that weren’t so bad. Pull ups on the other hand were a pain in the ass. I struggled BAD. Got back to thrusters and did 7 and 8, they weren’t the prettiest but I got the job done. The 15 pull ups got super ugly. I was only managing one at a time. The shoulder was fatigued and I am a baby. Got through my 9 thrusters much better than the 15 rep round. I guess I got more rest in the pull ups. And of course I struggled even more with last round of pull ups. Time 9:48. Those darn pull ups. Argh. I did however PR. I’m not super proud of it because I know I should be better at pull ups by now 😦 But back on New Year’s Day I finished in 10:30. At least I’m getting better and not worse!

8/27/12 WOD

Saturday Community WOD
We had a straight up beat down at our Saturday Fun Day! It was a team WOD of 75 OHS (med ball), 400m run, 150 burpee box jumps, 400m run, 250 push ups, 400m runn, 300 sit ups. We had a good team strategy by breaking everything up into smaller sets per person. Our biggest struggle was the run. I am sad to say that I am one of the weaker links when it comes to running. We had to wait for the whole team to finish the run before we could start the next movements. Our team did really well and we pushed through to the end. We finished around 23 minutes and finished first! Woohooo. It was definitely work!

Oly Class
Class was all about the Split Jerk. Good thing it was from the rack because I was not ready for any type of Cleans after the hell I went through on Friday. I felt pretty good in regards to form and technique. I have some issues with locking my hips but overall I felt good about it. I worked up to 105lbs and failed at 115lbs. I believe I could get 115 but I think with being smoked from the 9am WOD and then working in the Oly class it was plain and simple I had nothing left to give. I’m glad I am putting in the time to the Oly class. Every bit helps!

Beautiful Blogger Award
I don’t get many awards but this weekend I was given a Beautiful Blogger Award by Andy over at Our Life in 3D! Thank you Andy. It is really nice to be acknowledged for my little blog. I mean after all, being told your AWESOME always makes you feel good! He received the same award because he too is a beautiful blogger! He shares his precious daughters with us and adventures of being a Dad. He also shares fun bits of randomness that we all can enjoy whether you’re a parent or not.

With this award I was given some things to do: A) Write ten interesting things about myself, B) Nominate other bloggers who I feel deserve this award, C) Let them know about the nomination!

A) First of all I don’t think I have 10 interesting things to tell you about myself. But I’ll try.
1. You all know this but I’m a mom of 3 boys. That in itself leads to an interesting life and lots of stories.

2. I once owned about a dozen snakes and about a dozen lizards. This was all before kids and it was a big daily chore to tend to all the critters.

3. I have raced in on 2 motocross races. One for a Mother’s day fun race and one that I actually entered like a ding dong head on a Yamaha 250. I didn’t come in last so that made me feel a little better but I was at the bottom. I’m glad I did it though.

4. I used to work at Starbucks and it’s been the best job I have ever had EVER and if I could make more money being a Barista I sooo would do that for a living.

5. I had my own Graphic Design business, more of a freelance thing but I did a handful of jobs before my marriage fell apart. If only I had given it more time then maybe I’d still be doing my own thing. Hard to do though when you are trying to start over in life with 2 kids and one on the way.

6. I dream of taking my kiddos to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro. I saw an IMAX movie about it and saw that it’s a feasible hike for inexperienced hikers and for all ages.

That’s all I can come up with. I’m sure I have more interesting things about me but I don’t know what they are! Now for the folks I keep tabs on and you should too:

Wine to Weightlifting: It’s all about getting stronger with Jennifer. She’s taken on weightlifting and she loves it. She works hard, takes on different programs and kills them.

The Sexi Flexi: This girl probably has got this award more than once. And deservedly so… she shares her food porn, her adventures in life and work and her personal side as well. She’s embraces life and it shows.

CutlFit: I’m sure this blog has this as well but it’s all about sharing here and I check in daily, multiple times a day! It’s all about living life with CultFit. Enjoying it, laughing at it and taking time for the small stuff.

Whatup Chickenbutt: Check this chica out. She’s funny, sarcastic, honest and will tell you how it is! She shares her obsession with lifting heavy shit and proves that you won’t turn all “manly” with weightlifting. She leads a BUSY life and still manages to find the time to get strong.

CjackPlay: If you want food, fitness and fashion then head on over to this blog. She shares her results, recipes and fun hair, makeup, etc tips. Unlike me, you can be girly!

Check all these bloggers out. Tell them I said HI and follow them religiously like I do.

That’s Monday folks! Enjoy it and Be AWESOME!!!

Just read their shirts… They too live in AWESOMENESS!

Sleepy Sleepy, Can I take a Nap Now?

To make up for yesterday’s long rambly post, this will be relatively short and sweet. Mostly though it’s because I’m sleepy and am taking on this day with only 3 1/2 hours of sleep. Yesterday was my middle kiddo’s birthday. We went to dinner and then surprised him with taking him to see the movie Nitro Circus. What’s the big deal about that? It started at 10:45 p.m. and we didn’t get home till about 1 a.m. I still made sure my alarm was set to wake up for the BOOM BOX beating, knowing that I didn’t want to do the MetCon already. I told myself if I don’t wake up, that’s fine, you need sleep. BUT if you do wake, just GO and don’t drag your feet. Well sure enough I woke up and drug my feet! I’m pretty sure I was still half sleeping during my drive there. I was on autopilot.

After our warmup we worked on Push Press. More specifically 12 sets x 2 reps on the minute @ 90% of our strict press. This rounded to 65 lbs for me. I know it’s hot in the BOX even at 5 a.m. but geez I was dripping sweat by our last set. I underestimated the work in that simple movement.

MetCon: 3 rounds of 15 pull ups and 400m run. Two things I despise COMBINED. I don’t have a choice. No point in whining or crying about it. As NIKE tell us… JUST DO IT! They don’t ever say how WELL one must do it though. I surprised myself when I did 10 pullups rather quicklike. But that was all the excitement I got. It was all downhill from there! For the second and third round I did 5 right away and slowly knocked out the other 10. Also remember I don’t DO PULL UPS without assistance. I did use the blue and green band combined. Wah, Wah. These kind of WODS are good for me I know but mentally I just disappoint myself. Time: 12:09

8/9/12 WOD

Hopefully I’ll make it through the day and if I do then maybe I’ll do my evening WOD at the football fields. Not feeling it now but after sitting all day at work and in traffic I may change my mind. Ready for this day to be over, who’s with me? Don’t forget to BE AWESOME.

More Kool-Aid Please!

Today is the first time in a long time that I forgot to take a picture of the whiteboard! But I can tell you I think I did alright. Only time will tell. I don’t think being the first class in the AM will ever give me the upperhand but sometimes I do get a good leap on the rest of the day.

Skill/Strength: 3 rounds MAX Pull Ups. So I still can’t do a pull up and instead of using bands, coach had us do negative pull ups. That’s where you jump and hold your chin over the bar for as long as possible then as you fatigue slowly lower yourself down until you can no longer hang on. I SUCK AT THIS COMPLETELY! We had to do this 15 times. I did it just “OK” maybe 3 times. It pisses me off so bad but I know until I start hanging on the pull up bar 24/7 this movement is probably going to be the thorn in my side for quite some time :/

This kid is way TOUGHER than me!

MetCon: 10 MINUTES of 400m run, Max KB (1POOD) Swings-Russian, 400m run. The key to today’s WOD was to know how long it would take you to run the second 400m. If you left too early then you don’t BENEFIT from the workout of pushing yourself. But if you left to LATE then you would get docked 1 KB Swing for every second you go over 10 minutes! I know I didn’t want my work taken away and I know I didn’t want to look like a scared-y cat slacker. I took off on my first run and at a normal pace for me, got back around 1:48 and started my KB swings. I did as many as I could unbroken. Then just broke them down in smaller sets the best I could. Took off for my last run and returned at 9:50! How’s that for good timing!!! The KB swings are what counted for the day. I managed 125. Yay fun!

Jonas and I hope to do a park WOD this evening. I’ll be better prepared for this evening’s workout. Tuesday’s was just a fly by the seat of pants, lets make up stuff workout. I look forward to racing against my kiddo again. He’s a fighter which in turn will help me fight harder!

In other news:
Already checked in with Lahaina CrossFit and we’re ready to do work there next week! I’m excited as I’ve only visited one other box in my 10 months of being a part of this AWESOME community. And the one I did visit was for Barbells for Boobs so it was a good size event not a drop in. I’m sure it will be a good time and I’m excited! Seriously, who says that? Who says they are excited to drop in at another box? CrossFit Junkies! That’s who!

Y’all have a great Thursday! Eat Clean, Train Dirty, Be AWESOME!!!

Is it NAPTIME yet?

I went to bed later than normal and I felt it this morning. But maybe it was just yesterday’s WOD that I was feeling. I was dragging when I got to the BOOM Box but that didn’t last long as we had a nice jog to wake us up. As much as I didn’t want to go it was good to wake up the limbs and get the blood flowing.

7/12/12 WOD

For our Skill/Strength we worked on mobility. Today’s choice was HIPS or SHOULDERS. Well I NEED to work on both but shoulders were the winner for the day. And boy did we work on those shoulders. Coach had us all lay down and put our arms out to the side of us and raise our fingers to the ceiling (L-shape). We then lowered our arms to the ground to our sides without letting our shoulders come up off the ground. We were told to remember that position. The killer part was laying on the ground next to a barbell and putting the end of the bar on your shoulder and rolling it back and forth. Then using your leg to put more weight on the bar and still roll it back and forth. MY SHOULDERS WERE DYING! My right side is much more tender/sensitive/WEAK than my left side but after doing both shoulders we re-tested getting our arms to the ground and both of my hands touched the ground easy breezy. Below is a Mobility WOD video that is similar to what we did this morning. It does wonders but hurts like a MOFO!

MetCon: 3 Rounds of 15 Burpees, 10 Pull Ups and 5 HandStand Push UPs. Not too many movements and lower reps this should be a quicky WOD and it wasn’t too long, I still struggle too much with the pullups but I didn’t wuss out as much as I normally do. And since I don’t have a RX HSPU we did a modified version. We put our heels up against the wall, bent over and had our hads at just the most uncomfortable position to do a push up. Those sucked but not as bad as pull ups. Time: 6:51

I stuck around to work on Double Unders. It was a pretty big fail as I was just off today in stringing together a good set. So I called it a day at the BOOM Box.

Last night.
I waited till the last possible second to cook dinner. Ernie works out late so I try to time dinner for when he gets home. But in my procrastination I had to come up with a plan ASAP because of course I had no plan! So with ninja like quickness I got broccoli cut up, tossed it with olive oil, himalayan salt, pepper and red pepper. Baked that at 450° for 15 minutes. Got two grass-fed steaks seasoned and going on the stove and prepared a last minute effort at some Cauliflower rice. Nothing like my faux Spanish rice or Asian fried rice. I got some chicken broth heating up in a pan, got the cauliflower shredded up in my handy dandy food processor. I dumped what ended up being a lot of “rice” into simmering chicken broth and realized I needed more broth. I don’t have measurement but it was probably a cup of broth that I used. I got that simmering and put a lid on it. While that was going, I chopped up some baby carrot and onions to dump into “rice”. I added some salt, pepper and Kerrygold butter and put the lid back and and let it simmer away. Probably for 15 minutes. Just keep checking for the broth to be absorbed into the cauliflower “rice”. I don’t know if I was just really really hungry or if it was that damn good but I loved it! I took an pic but as you know it’s nothing professional.

Tomorrow is my rest day but I’m thinking I may take a jog around the neighborhood… THINKING only at this moment but probably won’t happen, we’ll see! BE AWESOME! It’s Tuesday, wooooohoooo.

Sometimes Slow and Steady does WIN the race! Barely!

Today’s Boom Box Special was a chipperish Cindy-like WOD on ROIDS! This was Cindy’s EVIL Sister. Pull ups, Push ups and Air Squats – YAY fun! And to spice it up a bit it started with a 400m run and then had 400m run every 5 minutes!!! Come on now, RUNNING in the middle of already dying?!? Coach HATES us! I’m super convinced now 😀 He did give us a break by it only being this beast like chipper and we did get to work on mobility as well which was much needed because I’ve been slacking.

6/28/12 WOD

First off the 400m run just for oh you know the hell of it. Don’t worry at minute 5 there will be another fun run, and minute 10, minute 15, etc. We had a 30 minute cap, will I finish?!?

I knew 50 pullups were going to be a doozy so I went with the green and blue band because I knew trying to go with green only would keep me on that bar for the entire class. I could do a few more at a time with the double banding but they were still a beating. I did 3 runs just during Pull Ups and they were ugly runs.

Moving onto Push Ups was plain ol’ miserable and did not help in the shoulder dept, duh! My shoulders are dead. The next run was incredibly ridiculous. I tried my hardest to keep my arms to my side and run looking like a weirdo because my shoulders were burning.

I wanted to walk so bad on that run but I didn’t. Got back, finished push ups and got 17 air squats before my 5th run. Thank goodness shoulders are no longer needed. If it weren’t for coach pushing me on I don’t think I would have finished my Air Squats before the next 5 minute mark. I knew I couldn’t run now because my quads were on FIRE!!! But he really stood by me and helped me fight through and that is just what I did. FIGHT! Time: 24:45! BAM!

Stephanie doesn’t hate Push Ups but struggled!

I was the last one to finish pull ups and the last one on all the runs but I managed to kill push ups and air squats to beat the boys!!! HELL YA!!!! And just so you know… below is what I look like after 90% of all our WODs… Sometimes I manage to find a wall to hold me up!

Look familiar? Haha, This is my preferred I’m dying but I know I’ll live afterall position :/

Everybody is working for the weekend right?!? Almost there! You know the rest: BE AWESOME!!

Become ONE with the (pull up) BAR

Ya not so much today but getting there I guess… just really slowly. I’m such a wussbag. But in the long run, my tolerance to hanging on the bar has gotten better. It still starts to hurt before too long but not as quickly as it once did.

This morning at the BOOM Box we worked on ring rows and pull up skills. We first did MAX REP ring rows x 3. I dutifully started out RX with my legs straight and felt fine. Coach came over and corrected the width of my arms and well my RX straight legs went out the window. I had to bend my knees for the remainder of rows. I managed to get 13, 8 and then 6. Not bad but not good either.

6/4/12 WOD

We moved on to max pull ups. So far I’ve been a slacker on my pull up work and my max with the green band has been 5. I busted a whopping 6 today! It’s better than the 3 I started off with a couple of months ago I suppose. After our MAX we worked on kipping and all the work that goes into that. I’m much better at kipping but still lack the strict pull up strength to get my chin over that bar. By now my hands hurt. I’m done. I did not become ONE with the bar. Another day.

MetCon: 8 rounds of 20 sec run, 10 sec rest with 35lb bumper. So it’s a TABATA of running! Yay for running! 😦
We had 10 yards marked out with cones. We had 20 seconds to get as many lengths as we could, then rest for 10 seconds. At each cone we had to touch the ground with the weight. Keeping count wasn’t so bad today for some reason. Overall distance 32 full lengths. Although I was struggling at the end and at a loss for catching my breath my recovery time wasn’t so bad. Maybe I am getting better at this thing called running (sprinting, jogging, etc.). Maybe today was just a fluke!

Weekend Happenings, Eating, and Rambling
We are pretty much fuddy duddies as of late. Maybe because we had a break in baseball and we just needed to chill and maybe cause we are flat out lazy! Hehehe. I did make it out to Homestead Farms on Saturday and my slacker old self didn’t take one picture. It didn’t even cross my mind, new place, new people, FORGETFUL FRANK! If you live in the Keller area it’s not a bad place to check out. They have grassfed beef, pasture chicken and pork. They also have raw goat’s milk from their own goats there on the farm. There was a varied selection of seasonal vegetables, all pesticide free. They carry an assortment of beef jerky, almond butters and other items I can not clearly remember. Pictures would be helpful right now! I ended up walking out with a couple of yellow onions, a few peaches (yummo), raspberries, and beef jerky. The had some chickens outside the back of their store for people to go see. It was a cute place. reasonable priced and in the middle of suburbia. It was a little out of the way for us to make a regular trip but if you are in the area it’s a good place to visit!

My eating habits weren’t right on point but not too bad at all. We were pretty boring… nothing fancy. I did eat those peaches though. They were perfect! And I went ahead and ate a yogurt parfait and La Madeliene because an omelet just didn’t sound good at the time. I didn’t feel any ramifications from eating dairy and fruits so I felt ok with my decision.

I don’t have much to ramble about really, it just flowed well in my subtitle. Heheh. I did stumble across this blogger who shares her struggles about her kiddo and his health, behavioral issues and how removing gluten and dairy from his diet helped him tremendously. Check it out at: http://mypickyglutenfreekid.blog.com/

Enjoy this MONDAY! Make it fantabulous and be awesome at it!

I HEART MY BOX!

After one of our FUNDAY SATURDAYS! BOOM TEAM!

For those of new to this blog… When I say BOX I am referring to my CrossFit Box – CrossFit BOOM! We have built such a great little family and it continues to grow. This past week and weekend we all came together to smack CrossFit Games Open 12.1 WOD in the face! Mine was more of a tickle instead of a slap but we definitely had some beast mode moments from our Boom Team!

The camaraderie amongst us is amazing! The support, the jokes, and the laughs we have are fantastic. You’re at the point of passing out sometimes (what am I saying… ALWAYS) and there is always someone there to cheer you on to help get you through.

This past Saturday was an open box and then 12.1 WOD time for those who needed judging. We had some newcomers and they took on the funday WOD like champs. My partner and I took first place as we did a team event. 3 teams of 2 doing 3 rounds of 1 minute each of diamond situps, KB Swings, and Wall Balls. My teammate Donna KILLED it. I’m pretty sure she didn’t feel that she did, but she did fantastic. I love to see new people. 9 minutes of misery but we all live and get to high five and chat afterwards. It’s a good feeling.

Coach Grant measuring the "ROOF". We got hell from CrossFitters after a pic of our roof made it to the CrossFit Games facebook page. But we also got a lot of kudos. I assure you it was safe and there weren't any concerns on whether it was or not!

Coach Grant gettin after it! The "roof" was a mat so it was light weight and didn't budge as it was weighted down.

So enough of my ooshy gooshiness. On to today’s WOD.

Front squats for skill/strength. 5, 3, 1+. I did a warm up with just the bar then jumped up to 75 lbs and started my 5 reps. It seemed light today. Maybe because I had a fantastic massage yesterday or maybe just because I’m getting stronger. Maybe my crazy strange love for CrossFit intensified after the first Open WOD, who knows. But it felt light. I Hope my coach isn’t reading! LOL, he’ll make me pay tomorrow! Then moved onto 80lbs for 3 reps and onto 85lbs for 19 REPS – YAH BUDDY! It’s taken a while for me to get “strong” but I’m getting there. And today I feel I really pushed those last 4-5 reps out. It took a lot out of me. Probably time to test a new PR… maybe? maybe not, hehe.

2/27/12 WOD

The MetCon had pullups, yay fun! 😦 Not really but I had a little more endurance today than I normally have. I managed to do 8 in a row (with bands) for the round 1 and 2 but typically I could do 5 or 6 then break. So again, getting there which makes me happy! Then after 8 pullups it was 60ft of lunges. AMRAP for 12 minutes. I got 8 rounds and 8 pullups! I got halfway to one length of the lunges but it didn’t count because I didn’t complete it. Ah well, I tried! And fell over as the timer went off, hehehe. I’ve never left the box without just lying on the ground post WOD. I’m beat. And I keep bringing myself back for more! I have issues! But they lead to good results.

Happy Monday ya’ll! I’m starting the 24 day challenge this week as well to help clean my system out. Let me know if you’re interested!

See y’all tomorrow unless life gets to much in the way 🙂

Magical Brooms and Manic Mondays!

Yes it’s MANIC. Rain, cold, no foods to eat for lunch, traffic, etc…!!!

And then the broom and it’s mysterious ways! Ok so the Magical Broom isn’t a long story but as one my kiddos was sweeping the floor this morning he went to lean said broom against the chair for a moment and then he realized that it wasn’t leaning on anything! It was cool and creepy all at the same time. I knew that if chairs started sliding and stacking on each other then we would be OUT of there ASAP! I don’t need a poltergeist remake!! But that was all. Just a magical broom doin it’s thing 🙂

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? MAGICAL!

As far as the weekend went it was funday Saturday at the BOOM BOX! And the Throwdown Challenge I agreed to do with my coach. I didn’t participate in the Team WOD so I wouldn’t burn out for the challenge WOD but I helped my oldest son, Jonas, count his reps with his WODmate Jeff. They did very well! I was surprised at his effort and proud of him for pushing through. Also my 10 yr old managed to knock out some kipping pull ups on his own, even managed Chest to BAR! He’s gonna be a future CrossFit GAMES BEAST! proud? YES envious? INDEED!

Now it was my turn. Grant did RX and I went scaled. I hung on pretty well at first but fizzled fast! I failed to take a picture of the boards but it was a 2 part WOD. First part… Death by Push Press/Burpees! Push Press on the minute followed by burpees. If you haven’t been following along. Death by ANYTHING means do 1 rep on the first minute, 2 reps on the second minute, 3 reps on the 3rd minute and so forth. Go until you can’t complete all the reps within the minute. So we had a deadly duo of burpees and push presses! I managed to get through 7 1/2 rounds. I finished my 8th push press but no time for 8 burpees! To be honest I’m not sure if Grant finished his 8th round completely or not! I was DEAD! And we still had Part 2! WE got a 10 minute rest then it was time for 6 rounds of 5 squat cleans, 10 pullups and 200m row! We alternated rounds, so each of us did 3 rounds. I feel I killed the squat cleans at 65lbs. RX was 85 but I had done 65lbs with push press instead of the 85lb RX so I just stuck with the lighter weight. Pullups though KILLED ME! Seriously and I had bands. I hate feeling so weak. While one teammate was doing the round the other teammate held an L-Sit for as long as possible for max time. Each round we held one max hold. After that you could subracted that time from your overall finish. I believe we had a time of 10:59. It as a good effort. Hopefully next time we do a challenge like this I can really do RX and kill it! It was definitely nice to put in some work but I felt my shoulders hating me all weekend!

Before I get to this mornings WOD I just want to give another shout out to Burgandy Pasture Beef! We went out there Saturday afternoon. They are so friendly and welcoming 🙂 It’s nice for us to get away for that short little trip and shop for quality foods. Sam has been there everytime at the counter to take our order. She knows Ernie by Pork Belly Ernie because we had special ordered the first time we visited. It’s kind of funny and I like his new nickname. I feel awful but I can not remember the other ladies names that are there. They educated us a little bit further about the meat butchering process and we hope to take a tour in the Spring if one becomes available. SERIOUSLY if you have a little time head on out to Grandview, TX and check them out! Their beef is wonderful and they also offer chicken, pork, lamb and a few other items such as farm fresh eggs!

Now I had mentioned my shoulders were hating me and this morning they were still feeling the same but it is what it is and I had to push through. It was cold and rainy on top of that but I still had to get to the BOOM BOX. After our warm up we proceeded to Front Squats 3, 3, 3+ at 80%, 85% and 90%. I managed to knock out 18 reps on the my last round! Wooohoooo. My legs could have handled a few more but my wrists determined otherwise.

02/13/12 WOD

The MetCon was a nice little sample of Sumo Dead Lift High Pulls, Push Press (ARGH) and Back Squats – 2 rounds of 1 minute of each and 1 minute of rest after all three movements max reps. 65lbs for me. I went a little too quick like on the SDLHPs and wore out pretty quickly. Then I had to quickly transition to Push Press. It wasn’t pretty but I hung on. Back Squats were a little less taxing and a much needed break for the arms/shoulders. ROUND 2: I timed out my SDLHPs a little better and got a few more reps than the first round. But I was wasted for the Push Press. I knew I had to kill the Back Squats to give me any decent rep count. And I did alright as I matched my 1st round number of 42 reps. I wasn’t at the top of the whiteboard but knowing I couldn’t get those push presses cranked out I’m ok with it. I put in work and that’s what counts!

It’s a-rainy/drizzly/miserable here! But I saw it should warm up a bit in the next few days! Hope everyone has a MARVELOUS MONDAY and not a MANIC one! I have quite a few things to do tonight for kids VDAY stuff. Hopefully I get it knocked out super ninja fast!
